I was responsible for mesh and texture clean up and texture delighting for the Basement for 'Guildford Castle VR' on Steam. I also reconstructed areas of the stonework that were not captured or were occluded in the data capture, this also included reconstructing the stone floor. The data capture for the Basement wasn’t of the same quality as the rest of the project, and so required extra work.
I was also responsible for the initial clean up and processing work on the Keep Exterior, although this was reprocessed with new data after the council had completed restoration work on the Keep. Some of this initial work I did was repurposed for the final result.
The Basement in its time had many uses: a kitchen, a prison, and in Guildford Castle VR you can visit it as an armoury.
